X THOMAS MANN FESTIVAL When have you seen clouds the last time? When Italy becomes a “mermaid” (with Sicily as a tail), “fish” – “rabbit” and this becomes a “which”... First I came to Nida with my mother when I was five. During vacation. I was entranced. After forty years I came again. Some work to do. And was entranced again!
When a couple of months ago the composer Linas Rimsha came to my office and told about his installation “Autumn Introduction” (for me it looks more like a theme “Japanese traveling through time”), we have thought, that it will be not so easy to actualize this project. We should transmit six different sounds from six different sources, that they would give the feeling of harmony... Some professionals dropped their hands. We’ve got a challenge and it arises the game! Fnd we made it so that the author of the project was highly pleased.
On July15 – 22nd the X Thomas Mann festival was held in Nida, for which our creative group “A.Nomeika & Friends” traditionally provide all equipment (pavilion, screen, light, sound, etc.) for the movie programme under the open sky.
