WINTER’S AVIATION FEST “AIR CIRCUS 2008 Creative team “A. Nomeika and friends” March 1 – 2 days in Trakai national sport and healthiness center’s territory, in spite of winter’s tricks, organized traditional winter’s aviation fest “Air circus”. Bad weather didn’t frighten away enthusiastic balloonists. In competition “Sky flowers” for this year car KIA CEE’D took part even 26 comands. Between arrivers were guests from Latvia, Ukraine, Poland and even from United Arab Emirates! In case of bad weather not all managed to take off. However, winners were clear up. V place shared Abdul Aziz al Monsary and Romanas Mikelevicius, IV took Giedrius Vaitulevicius, III – Tomas Fiodorovas, II – Tadas Gegevicius and respectable I place was received by Gintautas Mockaitis.
Weather grew warmer and drizzling rain melt snow and ice, which covered Galves Lake. So already traditional become alternative sport competitions were invent various “improvements”. It attracted not big, but in good mood spectators and participants attention. Relay-rice with mega ball on the wet grass raised many emotions. Running with mega skies didn’t stay back too. There were a little bit harder for “Traku concur” participants, because “horses” stacked in the grassland. Most commands (total 13) took part in irons curling. They had a lot of fun letting go irons fixed to wheels. Most energetic and extremely was VII world WC Slalom championship. That much man, those much youngest participants of fest pushed bio-toilets fixed to wheels. There were plenty who wanted tried their accuracy in humanity “Battue”. They shouted from paintball gun to bear made from synthetic fiber. Daina the first one who tried this contend, so she get special prize how bravest participant.
Concluding, we aspect that soon all world and Lithuania will not “be attack” by global warming and next year we will wait till white, cold winter, which let us organize such “Air circus”, that wasn’t never before! Participants of the fest joked: “Six years in turn was good weather. We can’t aspect the same on seventh. God also created world 6 days, but on 7 – he took the rest…” So, applying theory of chances and carry out complicated calculation, there is left wait next year, when will be right “concentration” of snow, cold and good mood! << back |
